Chosen Tool

I have chosen ‘Draft’ to study and analyze for Project 2. Draft is explained on the site’s homepage as, “Easy version control and collaboration for writers.”

Why I Chose It

I chose Draft as my tool to analyze because I love to write. Although I prefer technical and professional writing over creative writing, I construct a lot of drafts during the school year. I am interested in learning more about the affordances and constraints of a tool meant for simply writing a draft.

Why should I draft my projects on this website instead of a Word document? Do people really provide feedback to drafts? Will this tool improve my writing? These are questions the tool posed in my mind upon initial glance, and I chose to analyze this tool because I am interesting in finding out the answers to these questions!
