Since Wednesday I went in and moved my photos around to be aligned to either the left or the right instead of having them directly above the posts. I also reviewed what my classmates and professor commented about my blog. They said that I should add a personal touch to my blog and devote a page to something I else I do.

Why I did it…

I decided that I wanted to add a page that was devoted to VTTV because of how much time and effort I have put into the organization. I also added two of the videos that I produced last year. I did this because I thought it would be a good way for me to share something about my life. I also decided to wrap my photos in my text to make the posts flow better. Having the photos on top of the text made it look too generic and boring.

After Monday’s class I was taking a deeper look at my blog and noticed that I hadn’t categorized any of my posts since I began this blog. I decided to go back and make categories so people could more easily find the various types of posts that relate to one another. So far I have two categories, “The Ones That are Reflections” and “The Ones That Are Class Assignments.”

Why I did it…

I wanted to categorize my blog posts to make it easier on myself when I need to go back and remember what I did when I did it. This will not only help me when I go to write my memo, but will also help my readers navigate my site easier.

What I need to do…

Right now I am at a stand still with my blog. I can’t decide what to do next and am not sure what else should be done. I am hoping that the comments I receive from my classmates will help me figure out what additional information I need to add and any changes that need to be made.

For now I have most of my pages written the way I want and have narrowed down my background colors and theme of my pages. I finished my Site Information page and it explains more of why I picked what I did. I have not categorized any of my posts so far but I plan on doing that once I review my blog in more detail. I also decided to change the name of my blog from my name to a tie into Friends because I thought it was more entertaining that way.

Why I’ve Done this..

I wanted to have most of my blog pages and posts finalized today because I want to go back and review everything tomorrow evening before I present my blog to the class. I like when I have projects done a head of time because then I am able to put the final touches on everything. I decided to change the name of my blog because no matter how many times I have tried to blog, I never keep up with it. Usually I get bored half way through or the blog just turns into a personal portfolio. Since I will be blogging a lot for this class I decided to use the title “The One Where I Blogged” because I am actually blogging on a regular basis.
